Solar Split SystemsThe advantages of the Edwards Series 2 Solar Split Systems are two fold. Firstly; the stylish, slim-line design of the solar panels minimizes the visual impact. Secondly, the ground mounted family sized storage tanks provide flexibility of installation options. All this while saving heaps of your household water heating costs. There will be days during the year when your solar system doesn't receive sufficient energy from the sun to provide all the hot water you need. Edwards gives you the option to have either an in tank electric element booster or gas in-line continuous flow Edwards Solar Hot Waterboosting unit. The choice is yours; ask your local Edwards Solar Hot Water dealer which option would be best suited to you. Depending on your requirements and location you have the choice of two proven high performing collector panels. If for example, your home is situated in a temperate or tropical zone, the Edwards Australis Series 2 collector is for you. If however, you live in a cooler climate, or, have heavier hot water usage, then the Titan Series 2 collector may be more suitable. Your local Edwards dealer will recommend which model will perform best for your requirements.
GTD Series 2 – The Proven PerformerIf your home is in a temperate or tropical location, which is not subject to frost, and you have good quality drinking water, then the GTD Series 2 system is ideal. This modern designed ground mounted Solar Hot Water System called the GTD (Ground Tank Direct) system transfers the suns energy directly into the water through the solar collectors, this is described as a "direct" system. The hot water is then automatically conveyed from the collectors to the storage tank, this process continues whilst the sun is shining, giving you free hot water from the sun.Not only are you helping the environment by installing an Edwards GTD Series 2 solar hot water system, you will also enjoy substantial savings on your household energy costs.
GTS Series 2 – The All Climate SolutionFor areas which experience frost or snow and perhaps have less than reliable water quality, the Edwards GTS Series 2 system is the only ground mounted solar hot water system choice. Being an "indirect" system the water is heated indirectly via an in-tank heat exchanger using a mixture of glycol to transfer the collected heat from the collectors. The benefit of this "indirect" heat exchange process is that the system can be used confidently in frost areas, without risking damage to the system; it offers protection against freeze damage in conditions of down to minus 18 degrees Celsius. The Edwards GTS Series 2 system is equally suited for areas with poor water quality because instead of using water, which can form calcium deposits in the collectors and connecting pipe work, the glycol heat transfer fluid helps ensure that the heat exchange circuit is kept clean, maintaining peak performance for the life of the system. We are proud that the new modern appearance of the GTS Series 2 was designed and manufactured right here in Australia for our harsh Australian conditions.
